Most of our lives we’ve been handed so-called truths by countless others; beliefs we learned to accept without question from well-meaning parents, teachers and others. It is only in questioning those beliefs, assumptions, and prejudices that we can begin to uncover and begin to know our own uniqueness. Our true genius lies dormant in that uniqueness waiting to be uncovered.
Becoming aware of our genius is a process of exploration, confusion, struggle and self-trust. Great contrasts create the fastest movement and lots of ego pain as the illusions die, yet, present the greatest gifts for growth.
Out of this process comes the clarity for our evolving personal preferences, which lead us to more clarity and richer, fuller lives. Bottom line - a blow torch at your butt can generate faster movement. That means we have to mess up more to really grow.
As I see it, one of our major purposes is to be in a continuous state of conscious moment-by-moment awareness and joyous becoming. Purposefully empowering ourselves by deliberately and proactively choosing those preferences that match the highest visions we can imagine for ourselves.
One view that might allow us to begin that process is to acknowledge our uniqueness; to understand that we are each designed to be individualized lead-edge expressions of “All That Is.” We have the option to begin growing, experimenting and experiencing life differently today; to begin, in this moment, from this exact spot in which we find ourselves.
We can start by planting seeds of our choice, using our internal compasses as our guide, trusting that the blueprint for the manifestation of any idea is built into the idea. It couldn’t be more perfect.
We needn’t spend a lot of time trying to figure things out, although knowing what works and what doesn’t work in our lives, our current relationships, job, finances, etc., is helpful. Using self-imposed ideals and expectations of others may not be. We can begin by exploring, experimenting, serendipitious adventuring, nurturing and being led as we attract the ideas, people, places and things to inspire and move us forward.
Regain your inquisitiveness by playfully nurturing and teasing your seeds and visions into reality while getting back to being the curious “littl’ adventorer” we were designed to be from the start. The first serendipitous happy step outside of where you are now might be a good place to start!
