Most of our lives we’ve been handed so-called truths by countless others; beliefs we learned to accept without question from well-meaning parents, teachers and others. It is only in questioning those beliefs, assumptions, and prejudices that we can begin to uncover and begin to know our own uniqueness. Our true genius lies dormant in that uniqueness waiting to be uncovered.
Becoming aware of our genius is a process of exploration, confusion, struggle and self-trust. Great contrasts create the fastest movement and lots of ego pain as the illusions die, yet, present the greatest gifts for growth.
Out of this process comes the clarity for our evolving personal preferences, which lead us to more clarity and richer, fuller lives. Bottom line - a blow torch at your butt can generate faster movement. That means we have to mess up more to really grow.
As I see it, one of our major purposes is to be in a continuous state of conscious moment-by-moment awareness and joyous becoming. Purposefully empowering ourselves by deliberately and proactively choosing those preferences that match the highest visions we can imagine for ourselves.
One view that might allow us to begin that process is to acknowledge our uniqueness; to understand that we are each designed to be individualized lead-edge expressions of “All That Is.” We have the option to begin growing, experimenting and experiencing life differently today; to begin, in this moment, from this exact spot in which we find ourselves.
We can start by planting seeds of our choice, using our internal compasses as our guide, trusting that the blueprint for the manifestation of any idea is built into the idea. It couldn’t be more perfect.
We needn’t spend a lot of time trying to figure things out, although knowing what works and what doesn’t work in our lives, our current relationships, job, finances, etc., is helpful. Using self-imposed ideals and expectations of others may not be. We can begin by exploring, experimenting, serendipitious adventuring, nurturing and being led as we attract the ideas, people, places and things to inspire and move us forward.
Regain your inquisitiveness by playfully nurturing and teasing your seeds and visions into reality while getting back to being the curious “littl’ adventorer” we were designed to be from the start. The first serendipitous happy step outside of where you are now might be a good place to start!
How often do you hear people wishing for more time? There just doesn’t seem to be enough time to do or accomplish all that we want.
What most of us lose sight of is that more time isn’t the end result we’re looking for. What we’re longing for are abundant, peaceful, and vibrant lives with more flexibility, less struggle and more sanity.
We want more freedom, great relationships and more fun. How does adding more things to a “to do” list add quality, adventure, or joy to your day or your life?
Mastering time for many means spending more time on controlling or rearranging the activities in our lives. Most of us continue to work on our symptoms, missing insight and clarity about the underlying issues and causes of our seemingly limited options.
Our struggle has little to do with having enough time or money. It’s about having a self-limiting Belief System! That same B.S. reinforces our limited perspective and convinces us we’re not worthy enough to get what we want.
The reason people don’t finish their tasks is not because they don’t know how to, are flawed, or don’t have time. It’s because they don’t want to. It’s because their internal guidance system is saying, “Enough!” - the underlying unconscious message being, “if you don’t start taking care of me, I’m not going to take care of you”!
The interesting thing is that time is all we have and we each have the same amount of it. Focusing on not having enough is a symptom and a sure way of creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.
What we’re really missing is the ability to develop the conscious awareness (through curiosity, introspection, and experimenting) of the vast number of options in life to choose from and then acquiring and learning processes that will allow us to integrate more of those options into our lives.
There is a natural rhythm to life. Our purpose is to find our own and learn to dance with it. It’s not to beat ourselves up because we’re not completing our “to do” list or not getting enough done. It’s about wasting our precious now moments thrashing ourselves. Truly, a waste of time!
Instead of focusing on what isn’t getting done, why not shift your perspective and begin to focus on things that are energizing, things that you appreciate or love? By getting more in tune and connected with the underlying truth of what works for each of us long-term, we will find ourselves revitalized, relaxed, refreshed and refocused.
Who knows, maybe the struggling will vanish. Also! Maybe you could wind up with more quality time just for you!
If you are open to being more free and discovering new options – check this out!
Who’s in charge? Why? Well, look at this mess! My life just sucks! I feel trapped! I don’t like my boss! My spouse drives me nuts! No matter where I turn, this doesn’t work and that doesn’t work. Life is a struggle! I’m exhausted! Me, too! Just writing this, whoa, talk about a drag.
Let’s try it another way. Who holds the power? Who holds the power to determine how you feel? Your partner? Your work? The people who are presently in your life? Your mother? Well, who? If conditions, events and people control us, then what’s our role? What’s our part in all of this?
Are we puppets? Remember the TV series “Charles in Charge?” Well, who’s your Charles? Who’s in charge of your life? Ben? Who’s Ben? My point precisely! If we don’t know who Ben is we certainly don’t want him to be in charge of what goes on in our lives. I know a Ben. No way is he going to be in charge.
Point is, if Ben isn’t in charge of the myriad of things that upset us daily, then we are! You knew I was going to say that, right? Build your case - I’m listening. I‘m not really, but I knew it would help you to unload. Home
"WHY NOT THINK ABOUT SOME THINGS YOU'VE NEVER DONE BEFORE AND DO THEM JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE NEVER DONE THEM AND FOR NO OTHER REASON?" - Wayne Dyer
Why not? Why do you think you've never thought of doing the things you haven't done before? My guess is it's because of your reasons. Maybe you've thought of things you would love to do, yet, let it go, because of your reasons.
Think of things you could consider like moving, quitting your job, divorcing, traveling, and not paying your income taxes. How about doubling your cash flow with out working? To far out - right?
Consider this, if you or anyone else picks what they pick because it’s reasonable, how than can we possibly pick if we think what we want is unreasonable? It wouldn't make sense - based on our view of what's realistic or possible.
Most of us only pick things we want in our life based on our expectations of what we believe are possible for us - what we believe "we're worthy of having = our self image.
Try this! Are you making choices when you use reasons? Is it possible you're just creating your same world over and over again from your unchallenged personal beliefs (also, the definition of insanity). Did you see the movie Ground Hog Day?
What if you didn’t use reasons to pick what you pick? What if you began to pick what you pick out of pure choice and preference? It’s my point of view that most people couldn’t or wouldn’t pick without having a justifying why - (reason). How about you?
Most people let their beliefs (reasons) do the picking and give up any bit of self-trust or individual self truth, because of their strategies or beliefs (philosophy - values - self-rightness) or their Belief System - B.S. for short.
Let’s distinguish between a choice and a decision. Decisions are usually made from a variety of options and when the item, goal or alternative is picked we explain why we picked it to make sense to ourselves and others. Surprisingly, It always does. Being reasonable seems to be the way we keep ourselves comfortable or anxiety free.
For most of us our choices are made from a belief of what's – "REALISTIC" - rarely do we consider what's possible or probable . So if you believe that you "can't afford it" "don't have the time","to much to do" or some other reason. You're limited in the actions you can take by an invisible shield most of us aren't even conscious exists.
That invisible shield is called our belief system, our paradigm, our worldview, or our personal interpretation of what’s real or possible, for us. It's called self-limitation or being outer directed (what others think).
So, if a decision is made from reasons than it would seem that choices are made from unreasonableness. You choose something because you choose it, and that’s that! You don’t need justification for choosing what you choose otherwise it's not a choice. " Boy,that’s ____________!" You fill in the blank (your opinion - belief).
If there are millions and millions of options in front of us - what methods are you using to pick if you don’t use reasons (experience, history, self-justication or other people’s opinions of what is possible)? Our journey isn’t about making wise choices, smart choices and justifiable right decisions. It's about living your life - emphasis your life!
Begin to consider options that work for you, and you get to choose what that means! The journey is much more important than the destination. Mainly, because that's where you're spending most of your life
It’s about picking joy over unhappiness, freedom over self imposed slavery, inspiration over goals and task completion, compassion over judging, harmony over righteousness, financial abundance over financial security and becoming conscious of choosing empowering thoughts over worry thoughts, all in the process of personal growth and self discovery.
It's not your work to make anything happen. Let your action be inspired rather than action driven by motivation. You might be surprised at how that small shift in perspective might change your world. It's your work to dream "it", imagine "it", make "it" up, want "it", and desire "it". In essence to, uncover what “IT” is for you.
You can begin to do that right now, if you choose to! Home
Being at purpose on purpose. Feeling free to pick and choose what works for you. Choosing what you want. Giving yourself permission to create the life that you want. Wow! Me pick what I want? Isn’t that selfish? What right do I have to put what I want ahead of everyone else?
In fact, isn’t what everyone else wants more important than what I want? Just threw that question in to see if I could catch you. Maybe you think that once everybody is happy and have what they want, then it will be your turn.
It doesn’t work that way. You get to pick! And guess what, by not picking, you’re still picking. Imagine walking backwards through life and trying to have enough time for a future. You can’t get there from there.
It’s the same way with Life. If you don’t pick what you want, something is bound to show up. Chances are it might be what you want, but there’s a bigger chance it won’t be. And, since you won’t know how or why you got what you got, how will you be confident in your ability to duplicate the process?
Think of it as a concept - create what you want by default or design. By default things show up in my life. If I like them, fine; if I don’t, I gripe about them. Creating by design means I decide what I want in my life and, on purpose, I begin to bring more of it into my life by intention and choice.
So, the first thing to do is write down some things that you want and get a feel for this new freedom. I know there’s reality to consider, but lets suspend reality and just play with this as a concept. If you could create the world you want, what would be different?
What would there be more of? Where would you live? What would you own? How about relationships? What kind of skills would you develop? What would you like to know? Where would you live? How about your house? What would you be feeling if this were already a part of your life?
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a Magic Wand? You could ask for anything. “Let everything I want be mine!” If that were possible, what would you ask for?
Is that an easy question for you or is it a fuzzy blur? Would you ask for a million dollars? If one, why not two? Why not 50 million or 100 million? Where’s your starting point or your ending point? Why even have an ending point? Why not be like Microsoft’s Bill Gates and ask for 40 billion or 60 billion ($60,000,000,000)?
Where is your comfort level? Do your beliefs about money move you forward or hold you back? Is money the means or the end for the choices you make? Are you waving your wand from need or lack?
Would money be the basis for the confidence to move you forward or the anchor that holds you back? Would that money bring you comfort? Would it inspire you or neutralize you?
What do you want? Not to worry, not to feel fear, not to be selfish or greedy, not to struggle or feel guilty? “Yeah, that! That’s it, what I want is to stop the negative stuff. The pain. I want all the bad stuff to go away.” Could we wave the Magic Wand and make that happen?
Let’s wave that Magic Wand and see what we come up with. Would financial abundance help? No limitation. Make a choice and puff, it appears. What about a new house, a new car, a summer place, a retirement place? You pick! You want it, the money is there.
“If you ask for financial abundance, how do you know it will be there?” Now, now! Trust! Magic Wands never let you down. We’re making it up, right?” Would you ask for peace of mind, effortless living, fun, more freedom to be you? How about the willingness to be more open and trusting? Would you be more spontaneous? Would you live life more freely?
Where would you start? How could you simplify your life? What distractions would you eliminate? Go to your closets or other cluttered spaces and get rid of stuff; one stuff or two stuff or lots of stuff. Create some space in your space and begin to open that space to Life. Being more open to life, that’s worth waving the wand for!
How about things you dislike or that irritate you – things that don’t work or things that don’t work the way you want them to – basically, things that don’t work for you? Take care of you! Out comes the Magic Wand again. “I only want things in my life that work for me! Whoo Hoo! I can wave my Magic Wand for that?” It’s your Magic Wand.
But, what will others think? Nothing, you know why? Sure you do! We’re going to wave our Magic Wands again and make everybody love our choices. Wait, we could ask them to give us their permission to do what we want.
Nah, let’s wave that wand and make it okay for them not to like our choices, to let them be mad or even hate them and have all sorts of opinions. We’re going to give ourselves Wonder Women bracelets so that what they think about our issues isn’t our issue.
Yea! Freedom from what others think. Wait a minute, shouldn’t I be concerned about what others think? You can if you want, if that works for you. Wouldn’t it be easier though to just give everyone their own Magic Wand so they could ask for what they want? Their issues, opinions, and thoughts about your life no longer need to be a part of their life or yours. Remind them occasionally that they have their own wands. They forget sometimes, and so do we.

In the introduction to "Emmanuel's Book," Ram Dass quotes Ramakrishna, an Indian Saint, as saying," When the flower blooms the bees come uninvited."
So how would your life be different, if at some deep essence level, you began to believe and trust you were a magnificent flower?

What if you began to nurture and pamper yourself in that special way that only works for you? Like dessert first! Play first - work second! If you didn't know what that meant, would you explore and experiment to find out?
Could you trust that you would know when you experienced those things that are just right for you? Are you eager to proceed or do you feel resistance in the form of frustration, anger, fear, guilt, avoidance or exasperation? Could your feelings possibly be meaningful clues about what works or doesn't work for you? Could it be that easy?
What if you had an internal guidance system that was keenly attuned to what works uniquely for you and was 100% reliable and accurate. What if the only way it had to communicate with you was by zapping you with feelings? What if the more intense the feeling, the stronger the message, but you had never learned to interpret it?
What if those unaware of an internal guidance system have mistakenly given the zaps false names? The negative ones, for example, were called low self-esteem, laziness, or depression, and they become your focus. But, what if the zap messages were telling simply that you weren't being true to yourself?
What if you realized that you had been spending time fixing yourself because of misinterpreting its message when it was really telling you that what you were doing wasn't bringing aliveness, freedom and joy into your life?
What if it was as simple as you not having the awareness, clarity or the tools to be free to live your life in a new and different way?
What if you spent less time trying to fix yourself and more time honoring your true magnificence, and less time arguing for why you can’t have what you want? What if you began to nurture, adore and discover your strengths and genius?
Are you open to explore that as a possibility?
Great! Start listening to the voice inside. Something not working in your life is a wake up message for you. How many messages do you need to be open to allowing yourself to become the full expression of your own unique flower?
What makes your heart sing? As you bring those things to light you'll find yourself the bloom attracting your own rich full life "uninvited ". Home
